Hell, I'm only 35 but put my physical self through hell in my teens (skating, fighting, etc...)
I'm just saying that I wish I had taken better care of myself back then and then I wouldn't be having these problems now.
Well, you might be right. But then again, you might have done everything "right" when you were younger and still ended up with problems.
Those things you did earlier in your life have resulted in you being the person you are today. If you hadn't lived the way you did, you might have ended up now as one of those poor sad sacks who spend their lives being "successful" and "healthy"...and wishing they had done the things they really wanted to do (like owning/riding a Harley) instead of chasing those things they were told were important. You see them all around every time you take a ride on your beautiful unique motorcycle.
There are only three kinds of time in your life, my friend. The past, which you can't change but you might learn from, the future, which may never come and over which you really have very little influence, and NOW. Don't spend your NOW beating yourself up for things that appear to be mistakes you've made in the past. That's just another form of not taking better care of yourself.

A buddy of mine has all sorts of problems from when he was young and foolish. He said he didn't take care of himself because he didn't think he would live this long.
I told him it still beats the alternative.
I am only 29 but I have pins, plates, and things that hurt everyday. I have broke almost every knuckle fighting, I cant hardly hear because I didn't like ear protection while shooting, and I had those 4 15's(didn't see no wires) in my bronco. I still have a very short fuse. the only thing that saves me from stupidity now is my wonderful wife(whom used to stand next to me during most of my stupid **** and cheer), my great kids, and my bike. I love my life and would trade my problems at all. There are people alot worse off than me. be sides 357's are your friend!! its life don't take it so serious you wont make it out alive!!!
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!" .
Baseball legend Mickey Mantle was a big time partier and all the males in his family died at very young ages. His famous quote which always makes me laugh was,
"If I knew I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself."
Pretty damn accurate!
