Default rear fender...

Did harley davidson change the size of the rear fender in 2006 when the went with the larger tire, or is it the same size as 05 and earlier? I need a vivd black take-off for my 2006 Bob and was wondering if other years would fit.

I do believe that only 06 07 will work for you scarred.

I have an 06 WideGlide bobtail that will bolt right up to your Bob,
if you want to go that route.

The frames were changed on the 2006 models so the fenders might fit, but would probably need spacers or something to take up the additional distance. The other think to consider is if the fender strut bolts line up between the '05 and '06 fenders. Sorry I don't know the answer to that one.

The frame and the rear fender are larger than the '05 and earlier. The reason is the rear tire is wider.

Only the 06 and 07 fender will work. The harley parts catalog shows a bobtail fender for the 06 models, but the one in the picture is for the 05 and ealier models. The fender has changed drastically for 06-07 and is not pictured.
