So after all the input from here(which I greatly appreciate) I took the bike for a good hard ride yesterday. rode with a buddy that has a wideglide with hooker longs. We did a decel down a long steep hilll and his bike was popping too. He said his does it mostly dependent on gas. The higher the octane and brand, the different sounds it makes. I put 93 in and had very little popping. But one thing I would like to know so I have a starting point, what are the original jet sizes in the stock carb? It's a 95SG. I want to start from scratch and see if going back to stock will help everything. Remember the af is stock and has slip ons wiht the baffles in. Sorry to keep posting with the jetting question, just want to learn how this all comes into play.

42 low and a 165 or 170 main. Good pic of what your plugs should look like: http://xlforum.net/vbportal/forums/s...57&postcount=1
