Default False Neutral Indicator

I see a lot of threads where people are tring to solve problems or improve performance.. I have noticed an absolute positive about my FXD. I owned four other motorcycles before buying my Harley, and every one of them was prone to giving a green neutral light when it wasn't in neutral (that'll make you look like an *** at a traffic signal). When the neutral indicator lights up on my FXD, it's in neutral. Period. Yay Harley. Anyone ever had a different experience?

Mine flickers all the time, except when I'm in neutral then it stays light like it's suposed too.
I replaced the switch and it work for a couple of days then went back to flickering. I just live with it.

Mine flickers when I'm on the highway ... thought it was a fluke or a "shift stupid" light.. but I was wrong... I'm just going to live with it...

Ride safe

If the connection to your neutral switch is loose you will get a flickering light. If the wire is completely off the light will stay on; likewise if your switch goes bad the light may stay on, or off.

I have a 76 KZ900 I rode to work a few months ago. Had never noticed a problem with my neutral light. Went out to go home, put my choke on and reached over to start the bike. Clutch has to be pulled in on this bike. Let go of the clutch while standing next to the bike and off it went. Pretty embarrassing.

haven't had a problem yet with the indicator light, but I still ease off the clutch while seated and prepared for it to still be in gear ... only thing certain is that the one time I'm not prepared for it to still be in gear is the one time it'll still be in gear
