I have read several posts and still have a couple questions that I hope those of you that have the big radius bct baffle combo can help out. I have the big radius on my 09 street bob, along with a big sucker and a SE race tuner. I do love the sound but am a loud bad a$$ bike sounding kind of guy. I would like it louder but don't want to hurt my performance. I also have read about some fit issues with the baffle and the pipes due to them being curved. So with all that being said, will they sound better or louder and better, not hurt my performance like some have said, and do they fit the pipe good? I just don't want to waste my time and money if I won't like the out come and am kinda sterring away from taking the baffles out completely so I won't hurt my performance.
They absolutely fit just fine. I have the QQ series in mine and I am extremely pleased with performance and sound. My 0-60 time went from 4.6 to 4.4 so to demonstrate sound I will try to post comparison videos later today if I have time.
Just ordered the BCT baffles for mine. They said it won't ship til the 12th. Hoping to get a deeper sound. I got the original ones. Part #2002 I think.
I don't think they offer a deep tone. All they are is a piece of pipe with a small washer welded in the middle. The washer sort of looks like a wire terminal.

That is exactly what they offer, and in my case deliver.
Our original Thunder Monster baffles are designed to deal with the sonic and thermal pulses, deliver the correct amount of back pressure, and act as a superior anti reversion device. They also create a deep, clear, hot rod, throaty rumble. Our new QQ Thunder Monster baffles deliver a slightly quieter more subtle sound than our Original Thunder Monster baffles with a deeper, throatier tone.
Here are the Before and After videos. I really need a better camera, or a better mount, I think part of the problem is the proximity to the ground, they really do sound much better than these videos, but here they are, uncensored and raw. May be my cheap *** speakers on the PC too.
I just put the BCT quiet baffles in my 05 wide glide last week and think they sound great. I thought the BR's sounded good when I was riding, but didn't like the way they sounded when I had a friend ride my bike. IMHO the Big Radius 2 into 2 was louder than I wanted and didn't sound as deep as I wanted it to. Very happy with the new baffles and my ears no longer ring after I get off.
