I recently added the HD quick release detachable standard windshield to my 2004 FXDI. The headlight does not extend forward of the windshield. When riding at night there is so much reflected light due to the windshield being out in front of the headlight that it is almost impossible to ride. The excessive reflection and glare makes for a dangerous situation. Is this supposed to be normal? Anyone else have this problem or did I somehow get the wrong windshield. Any solutions to this problem? Thanks for any help or info anyone can provide.

You guys might think of installing the extension ring that HD offers, it looks great and it will extend the front of the light about an inch or so. I have it on my deuce for looks and have no reflection problems in the shield at all.
Thanks for the suggestion TCSTD. I got the headlight trim ring and that solved the problem. That part should be recommended for anyone putting a windshield on a dyna. What a huge difference it makes for night time riding. I can see clearly now....
