Has anyone installed this or a similar item on their Dyna? I was thinking it would give a different look to the bike's light if it were positioned forward and down or up slightly. I was looking at these items, but not sure if will fit stock mounting hardware (bolt sizes). Any input or suggestions would be appreciated with regards to anything more suitable on the market to accomplish this..

Any store bought options that anyone has opted for?
When I bought my Arlen Ness Fairing, it was recommended I purchase that little piece, but could not figure out why. After I installed the fairing, turns out the headlight will not stick out far enough. Now I have to drill a hole and move the headlight. Why couldn't they just make it fit? Ugh! How cheesey!
I might just leave it as is because I don't like the idea of having to drill holes on my bike.
How far do teh two mounts pictured push the light, I am liooking to push mine out an inch or more. Right now it sits back so far it makes my sheild glow at night. Where can I get a extended mounting block.

Have you looked at mounts from other models? I swapped out my headlight for a 2006 Deuce headlight, but using my original mount it sat too low and too far forward. I looked at mounts from other models and ended up using a chrome mount from a 2006 Sportster Custom which raised and moved the headlight back. The mounting points are offset, so you can spin the mount around to move the headlight more forward or back.

Ya, I did. I used a mount which was made for a WideGlide. It stuck the headlight out further (1 1/2") and gave the bike a longer look. The regular Pillar block hid part of the headlight inside of the forks. I personally did not care for the longer look. Mounting block for headlights with 1/2" between mounting ears. 5/8" vertical & 2" forward offset. 3/8" drilled horizontal hole.
That one is what I am looking for but it says ears have to be 1/2" and the 09 has 3/4 inch ears on the housing. What year was that WG mounting block from? Thanks Howard.
I've been thinking of doing the same to mine for the same reason. I'll probably try to get some 3/4 inch aluminum stock and get to work on the grinder and drill press.
