1/2" is the width of the mounting or the width of the mounting block/same. If the width between the "EARS" of the headlight or the width of the mounting block is 3/4" than this mounting block will not work. A simple measurement will do. I have one that is going onto my hardtail so you can try it out first if you like. I do not like it but have to use it on my Hardtail due to fitment problems and it is also long and low. A real POS in my opinion but it had a larger and expensive donor motor.

In prep for a Ness fairing for my WG, I will need to raise my headlight about 2 inches and now I'm wondering if the wiring will reach. Does anyone know how much slack is in the headlight loom?

Wasn't enough in mine & I didn't want to pull out the main harness and have THAT much slack hanging there just for the headlight. I added to the length inside the headlight bucket.
