Default Hope its as easy as I think

I have a 2004 Super glide.... I just won the bid on a solo seat at auction...... it is just like me to do things a$$ backwards after winning I went out took off my old double seat and realized that I have no receiving nut for the seat bolt there is a hole with a rubber plug?...... Can I pick up the set at the dealer.... is it that easy? Or is there more to this puzzle.. Can I take out the old set?

Thanks in advance.
Mike

Just take out the old one by removing the plastic clip on the top and it should just fall out.A little tricky to put back in,I just put a string down in the hole and slide the nut on and then tie a knot on the end so it will not fall off and pull it up into place and put the clip on E-Z

Yeah you can pick up a new set for $3 at the dealer. It is a pretty simple job but can be a pita if you don't have the patience. I use a bent hanger with some tape on the end, put the nut on the tape facing the right direction and fish it up under the fender. Once you have it in just put the c clip on and your done. You can leave the old set in, that way switching from 2up to solo will take less than a minute.

I t is easy. I just bought a second set for a couple dollars. I leave the one in for the solo seat all the time and just swap out the rear one when switching between solo and 2 up seats. On the rear one just stick your hand under the fender and pull the plastic top pieace off and the oher piece will fall nto your hand. Then put in the plastic plug to cover it up using the solo seat. If you have the rear lowered you might need a hanger to run up in there.

Just get one from the dealer that way you have one in each hole for when you might want to 2up.
