what do you guys use to clean your flat black paint? I know it's supposed to get that "worn in" look but it seems like it's starting to look kind of dull and i want the black to be, well, blacker!
just water and auto soap. I still got some from the one the give you when you buy the bike but once that runs out I probably just used regular auto soap. Its so easy to clean, gloss or anything to deal with.
Wife has the denim black S.B. I hate her for it. J/K baby.
Recently after getting caught in a rain storm i was doing my best to get the bikes cleaned up. My vivid black literaly was kicking my *** trying to get it all nice and purty again. (new paint job so still love that fresh nice clean look!) Well after an hour she comes out in to the garage, spends all of about 3 minutes wiping hers down with the exat same rag and windex i am using, and hers looks like it just rolled off the show room floor, while mine still looks like it just went through a mud puddle!
So yeah its safe to say a rag and windex work just fine!!!
My softail deluxe has lots of chrome so of course it's harder to clean. Normally takes me between 3 and 4 hours to do the job right. That being said it is a long job to do and I hate doing it but I hate riding the bike dirty even more. I hate the cleaning or riding a dirty bike so much that I bought a second bike for everyday riding. The second bike I can ride to work and alo in the rain and not worry to much about it, only problem is that it is a Kawasaki Vulcan and not a second Harley
