Default sissy bar bolts and loctite?

The instructions say to loctite all fender and bar bolts, is that really necessary?

Thanks

Only if you want to keep the bolts and your passenger from falling off.

When I installed the bar / backrest the instructions said to use red loctite.

I used blue, because i may want to change it some day - and red requires lots of heat to loosen. I thought that was overkill personally.

Blue is more than sufficient.

By the time I rode my bike home from the dealer one screw from the sissy bar had fallen off. Now I don't know if they tightened them right when they installed it but they were all finger loose. I used blue loctite on all of em.
