I have lived one year in Ca (LA). Except for some weardos, there is lots of great things there. One of my favourite place. And the weather! You can't exept more. Like Whiffle says "take a deep breath..." and enjoy.
I couldn't get out of Kalifornia fast enough when I left the service. Taxes, Property Prices, Stupid Turtles on the Highway and I'm far too conservative to live with Left Coast liberalism. I do miss Telegraph Canyon Road though....
So what happens when you have to get your car repaired, send it out of state?
There must be some really good ? drugs on the west coast, see on the east coast we get the midwest crap so we don't care, spray your car in the street, blame it on the midwest.
NOTE TO MIDWESTERNERS: Only kidding but partly true.
You never really realize what you're missing until you leave there. i lived in San Diego for about 6 years. Was stationed there for 4 of them. While I was stationed there it was great, base housing, no taxes, etc.! I left the Navy and stayed for about a year or so, and it was just depressing to discover my wife and I, working together couldn't afford to buy a house (she was an attorney, although a new/young one). Finally I said screw it to both the wife and the location. Moved here to AZ, the cost of living was tons better, even more sun/less rain, and all my job offers were at least DOUBLE what I was getting in SD (that was the weird part).
You know the best part? I can drive back in about 5 hours , or fly in about 1, and enjoy the beach and eye candy just as much! And still not feel like I'm always hurting for money!
Haha there is a similar thread about CA on an SVT site I belong to but that one pertains to the qulity of the roads (or lack thereof)
I'm born and raised in CA, I've done my share of traveling and I know where home is. I'll never leave Socal - somethings are better some are worse. Good luck getting your paint
Alex
Could be worse man...you could live in NJ where we have all the same restrictions, and the weather sucks for half the year. Not to mention, when the towel heads blow up NY, I'm sure some of the fallout will make its way into my neighborhood.
AND...it's been raining here for the last 5 days...5 days is long time when you only have a 6 month riding season.
