Default Baffled by baffles

i have a 2006 dyna superglide with V&H Big Shots Staggered and a PowerCommanderIII installed.

I had purchased a set of Big City Thunder Monster baffles and they have been sitting on the shelf for 3 years and I have finally decided to install them. Question is, where in the pipe should I position them?

I have an old email from a BCT tech that says drill the hole 6 inches from the end (exit) of the pipe. I saw another recommendation that said within 2 inches of the power chamber (crossover)

Does anyone know the proper location?

I plan on getting the bike dyno tuned afterwards.

Thanks

ok,
so i will drill my hole 6 inches from the end of the pipe. should the baffle start at that point and continue further in to the pipe, or should it start at that point and continue back towards the exit?

does the lolipop face towards the exit or towards the motor?

You should start at hat point and continue farther into the pipe. Lolipop towards back. But they told me you could turn it around to get different sound(that is why holes in both ends) I think lower tone with loipop towards back. You can install in you original holes instead of drilling new ones 6" in but they say they is where the optimum performance/sound is. If I had scanner I would scan the instructions an post. Sorry

FYI, I also have the V&H BSS and did this. To get to the original baffle screws to remove you would need to remove the heat shields. Instead I used a dremmel tool with a small cutting blade(went through 2 I think) and cut a small square in the shields where the baffle screw was to remove them. Where you drill the new holes 6" in there is no heat sheild in the way. Afterwards I put some high temp paint on the shields where I cut them on the bare metal to keep from rusting just in case.
