Its a 2009 Street Bob so I'm going to go with the red/yellow wire. I couldn't find a wiring diagram for it.

Yeah yours is just like mine. There will be a stop/tail/run module connected to your main wiring harness. It's a little black box with 4 plugs running off it (big connector to main harness, left turn, right turn, accessory). Un-wrap the electrical tape covering the wires going to the big plug. The big plug that connects to the main harness has the red/yellow wire you want to tap into.

I used the accessory plug for my license plate light and ground.

I also had a stop/turn/running light module plugged in so I tapped into that and not the wiring harness.
Those posi-lock connectors look awesome. I used one of the cheap crimp-style splices but I might go buy an assortment of these and replace it.

If you don't want to run the wires in the rear fork you could use plastic tie strap sticky back base mounts on the inside of the rear fork.

Could you post a pic of how you ran your wires. Curious how you only drilled one hole.

I just used long tie wraps, black. One near the shock, one near the foot peg, wrap around outside of foot peg, up frame and use one, then at top of frame I entered through one of the holes there and used another. To do the one near foot peg, I loosened the lower belt guard and slid in between the guard and frame.

Sorry, but in my opinion tie straps wrapped around your rear fork looks ghetto. At least with the sticky back bases you can hide them on the inside of the rear fork. Also, the tie straps will wear on the powder coat scratching it over time where the sticky back bases can easily be removed and cleaned up with no damage.

The hole thats 'already there' is for the purpose of aligning the rear axil square to the swing arm... but I think you may have already known that.

So you know how marksbob ran his wires? If so, how do you align the rear wheel without guesstimating on the left side?

If you're asking me...

I don't know if you're asking...
-how I know how marksbob ran his wire, or
-how I guess at aligning my rear axial on the left side, or
-some thing else...

What?
