hey mud thats the way they get cleaned the paper element se.yiour spose to was em out and let air dry.ok the blue ring filter is the crap one the updated se one has a black ring instead of blue but it is still paper element.the blue that was stuck to backplate was showing it had just started to fall apart.lots of people have already been sucking that blue foam rubber crap into the induction module.I know I have read on here or another site where you update with the K&N filter using the evo cover where its a little differnt from the se one.anyways i called K&N to have them send me another gasket to place on top of the one thast came with it so the cover will sit flush against the filter.I have read if you dont you chance cracking the center of the filter out.for now i just used a washer on the underside of filter hopefully it wont crack between getting another gasket to go directely on top of the one.anybody that has done this please respond
