I can buy a set of rockers off a 02 night train for 145.00. Any one know if they will work on my 06 street bob. Harley shop closed for the holidays so i can't call and get a price on new boxes, is 145.00 a good price ?

If its the twim cam (b), they should fit....but not 100% sure, as mine were ordered from my dealership, probably replacment parts for ntie train...call your stealer, they can tell you....thats a good deal by the way, i paid 272 bucks for complete set!

I put 06 Night Train covers on a couple weeks ago. Ordered 'em from Zanottis. Not sure about the 02's though.

The chrome ones will fit so I don't see any reason why the black ones wont.

Remove the seat and gas tank. Remove the air filter unit. Using a 7/16 box end wrench, loosen and remove the rocker cover bolts. Rotate the rear wheel in 5th gear to be sure that the lifters are at the lowest point, or piston is at top dead center of its compression stroke. Carefully remove the rocker assembly. Remove the lower rocker box cover. Install new gasket and bottom rocker housing. Tighten down the bolts using blue locktite and torque down the bolts to 13 foot pounds. Reinstall the rocker assembly. Torque the bolts down to 18 foot pounds. Install new gasket and the cover. Repeat the same operation on the other cylinder.

I did it myself. It took me about 6 hours. I could have probably done it faster but I took my time and gave myself lots breaks. I like the outcome.
