I will ride at & above 100+ mph when possible if no traffic or cops and road conditions are good. The only times I've had wobble problems is when my rear tire was too worn.
When you start to get your wobble try loosening your grip & see what happens.
At 80+ mph my 2000 Dyna Super Glide wobbles on long corners; it has since I bought it and it is a disconcerting feeling. I am currently researching Sputhe, True Track and Ride Str8 stabilizers.
I had some wobble on my '04 Superglide and checked everything I could think of, and everything everyone else could think of. It turned out to be the damned nut at the bottom of the forks. It had came pretty loose causing play in the steering. I only noticed the play when I locked the front wheel in place and I had about a half inch either way. Tightned thatsteering nut up about 3 full turns and haven't had a problem since.
First of all what link at the top of the page are you talking about? Second, it's pretty typical for Dynas to pick up a wobble during high speed cornering on anything less than perfectly smooth pavement. If it does it in a corner with a bump or two in the pavement it's most likely caused by too soft suspension with too much weight.Suspension upgrades will likely fix this, start with the cheapest first, thicker fork oil or even cranking up the preload on your stock shocks. Now if it does this in a straight line something is out of whack it could be something as simple as tire pressure or worn tires or as complex and expensive as a bent frame.Again start with the cheap stuff first check your tires.Good luck.
Been to 135mph and no wobble. Had a jap crotch rocket bike with me to tell me how fast I was going, my speedo was burried at 120. Bike was shaking a little . Too scared to fill the wind. I was hauliing a**.
Changed fromthe stock bars to 14" Psycho chubbyapes. Started to wobble what the dealer calls a head shake.seemed like the faster I went the more it would wobble.
tightened the head nut some, found I only had 33lbs in the front tire. Went out a while ago and hit 90 in 3rd gear and didn't have any wobble. Got an appointment with the dealer to have this checked thursday. Plan on riding it again too before then.
Was told to check yer tire pressure front and back. Lookat yer tires. Check yer spokes. Then it could be yer neck bearings loose. This is just for starters.
If you lowered yer bike 2" you could probaly guarantee that it threw everything out of whack and will make it wobble. Yer dealer can put yer bike on the rack and check everything pretty fast.
Rubber mounted engines andswing arms flexin such a way that causesa very unsettling wobble on high speed turns. I ride a 2000 FXD, with just under 100,000 miles, and have experienced the problem since it was new.I've been told that Sputhe, Ride St8 and True Trac all fix the problem. 'My' wonderful mechanic recommended the Sputhe ... the checks in the mail!
Hate to be the one to tell you this but in my 07 WG the flex yer used to experiencing is gone. My builder rode my bike and was amazed at how much better it rode in the curves and didn't flex like earlier models did.
