what ya do after ya put on a 3". you turn the bars ever so gently and make sure you don't hit the tank. mine didn't but I know another member that did have that problem and what he did was take out the rear bolt and ran rasp through the the holes and it gave him another 1/8" then cinch it down and yer good to go. generally though the only diff is the length of the crossover hose. as I said in my first post got mine from jackyl (a member here) it was 20 bucks and came with 2 new front bolts and the crossover hose.

Laugh if ya want to, but before fuel gauges were on all the bikes (which are inherrently inaccurate anyway), the 1 gallon can was the way we figured our "real" total milage capability. Stap on the can and ride till you have to switch to reserve, flip the petcock, note the milage, and ride again till it stops. There's your real tank and your real reserve.

As far as capacity, figure basic math on that one.

Dono if somebody said it here, but is you wanna have a accurate gauge just buy a Softail model !

well that's ok for a 2" lift like mine...

what i did is went till gas lite came on
ran out of gas on major hi-way w/ gas stations all over coasted in
189 miles on my 96 dyna

now wouldn't that be cool If I had a reserved on my hd like used to have on my metrics, dunno why the moco don't do that!
