Hey guys what else am i gonna need?
Do i need the spacer kit or the installation kit mentioned by HD?
Im using my oem push rods ..
10 000 on the engine so my tensioner should be fine but ill check it anyway.
Advice welcome....
Change out the tensioners while you got it apart. Even though yours probably arent that worn, they will be soon enough. Also, make sure you change the inner cam bearings (torrington) while you have it apart. And no, you shouldnt have to use spacers if you're sticking with HD cams, but check it when you put it together. If you need them, you can always run to the dealer to get them (chances are you wont).
when I reused my 'rods, I ended up having to remove the lifter blocks. There is a gasket between the case and block. I did that for access to the lifters. I tried using something to hold the lifters up but there was no room to hook it on the lifter.
Rocker gaskets, some o-rings up there...
lifter block gaskets, pushrod o-rings (there is a bunch of them). cam chest gasket, 3 o-rings in there. I'll see if I can browse my parts book for the numbers.
Pushrod tubes:
4-11293 - o-ring - top of pushrod tubes (in head)
4-11132a - o-ring - seals both halves
4-11145a - o-ring - pushrod tube to lifter block
Lifter block:
2-18635-99b - lifter cover gasket
Breather:
You may want to change the breather element and gaskets.
2-17162-03 - gasket - breather assembly
2-26858-99 - breather valve
2-63815-99 - filter element
I just found a discrepancy in the parts manual. It lists the same part number for the breather cover gasket and the gasket that fits between the breather assembly and the rocker assembly and they ARE NOT the same. I know they are not the same because A) the pics are different and B) I remember physically handling two different gaskets on that assembly.
I can take a pic of the pages if you want.

I ordered my gasket kit and torrington bearings from Feul Moto, I believe it was 50$. I didnt use all the gaskets that were in the kit but I think its worth it to have them incase they are needed at the time of the cam swap.
Good luck man ... you'll love the improvement ....
I don't see you using a 4 degree advance sprocket ...? I had taken a pass, but I might consider getting one ... it will lower the range of usable torque/HP by about 400 RPM ....
If I had paid attention to my RPM log data and realized just exactly what a low portion of my power band I am using, I'd have sprung for it initially ....
