Black or sedona orange
In a normal situation, if they got in an orange instead of the black, they'd have called the plant and requested a black to be shipping right away to correct the mistake, then called you to tell the story, and apologetically offered some little token to keep you happy with the delay. Nope, they tried making you take a color you didn't order. Lame. F them.
I'd consider taking the Orange IF....they threw in the 1K-mile service, dropped the color upcharge, and then painted the tins black like I FUKIN' ASKED FOR!
If there's another HD dealer within driving distance, cancel the order with these losers and go there.
I'm not against the Orange...or any colored bike. I want to paint my tins grey (which isn't colorfull but different than the standard black everyone has). This is about principle. You asked for X and they're trying to pawn off Y instead. Bad form in my book.

when a registered on a Street Bob dedicated forum they had pictures of the previous meetings, a sea of black with a spot of silver !!
HAD to take a blue one !
I looked at the website and saw the 'Sedona Orange' and it's -- Different. Not 'bad' different just different. Might take a little getting used to, which I'm sure will happen. You might end up thinking you're a genius once everybody starts complimenting you on it.
I went to the dealership absolutely convinced I HAD to have a black one. They didn't have one, and one wasn't coming in any time soon. They could have got one from another dealer -- God knows how far away. But they would have had to send two men and a trailer to pick it up. That wouldn't be a cheap thing to do.
So I got the one you see below. I'm happy with it.
The thing about Harleys is, it doesn't matter that much what color they are. You can accessorize any Harley of almost any color to look good or even great. Yeah, Black is the easiest to work with (the presence of ALL colors) but they can get a little tired looking after a while. The other thing about black? You can spend hour after hour cleaning it, waxing it, polishing it and ten minutes later it looks dirty again. Black shows EVERYTHING. Every little piece of dust, every little tiny water spot, dried wax, lint, any orange peel, every single flaw in the paint. Everything. And while it can be argued that Black is the prettiest color, it's also the hardest to maintain.
Trust me. If you're a meticulous person, Black will drive you up a wall.
Not knocking the color Black, just saying -- It has its down side.

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
to tell me he had received the bike but,, it was sedona orange
what he meant was - "we received your black 2011 street glide in Friday and were able to make a quick sale, to a walk-in customer, over the weekend. A Sedona Orange street glide arrived in the same shipment, we're hoping you'll take that instead".
If you chose black only because it was cheaper, and like the orange, then go w/ the orange. If you chose black because you wanted black, then ask the dealer to order two next time to increase your odds of actually taking delivery of what you ordered.
