Any tips on getting harness pushed back into frame PLEASE.
ran internal wires through my bars on my 2003 Superglide, havin a hell of a time cramming the harness back into the frame back bone. ( guess I should've just spliced the wires but figured I'd do it right and access the connectors)
now I'm about ready to shorten the whole harness just to get it back in.
Try tugging from the back under the seat. Thats what I did.
+1
That is where the slack is stored, if you just pulled on the wires from the front to get them out, I would take the seat off and inspect the wires under there to make sure you did not damage them.
Down under everything else you will find a large bundle of wires that lead up into the frame, that is the wires you are talking about.
It is a very easy push-pull deal to get them in and out to work on the connectors up front.
whew! got er done and all buttoned back up. All tested and working. Thanks for the input. Wedged my hand between rear fender and tire, inches at a time pull in back, push from front until all done, then pulled excess up into area under seat.
Definately recommend second set of hands for this job.
