Empty tank equals 1 gallon left?
I understand the tank on the 10 WG is a 4.6 gallon tank. My tank reads empty and the remaining miles reads 10 miles and I only get 3.5 gallons in the tank. I asked this question and I was told that the "crossover tube can't draw that low to pick up the rest of the fuel". I should get another 50 miles out of a tank if it actually used all of the fuel. Is this true? Does everybody end up with 1 gallon of non-useable fuel?

This question pops up quite often! I reckon Harley is playing very safe with the fuel gauge because it is not wise to let an EFI run out of gas. You should consider experimenting to find how long you can safely ride after the thing says it needs refuelling!

I get my Low Fule light on around 120 miles. I usually go 150 before getting gas. I have never put more than 4 gallons in at a time. The only way to know for sure, is to let it run out. Have a friend following with a gas can.
