I am toying with the idea of swapping out the front wheel & fender on my '10 Fat Bob. I'm thinking of a large front spoked rim and tuck it behind a road glide or fat boy fender. I've searched for pictures, but haven't come up with any. Any input is always welcome.
If you're looking for a picture of a touring style fender over a larger 21" wheel, here ya go. I gotta paint yet but this is what I just bought. Also here's the thread where I gave my impressions of the fender.
Looks cool, Bry. Are you doing a matching rear fender?
I think I'll have to in order to make it look decent with the bags off. A low front fender and a bobtail rear will look kinda silly I think (we'll see -- I'll post pics of that setup so everyone can laugh).
But I really like the bobtail fender because the luggage rack is nice and tight up against it. If I go with one that curves down I'll have to use one of those luggage racks that sticks out off of the sissybar and that always looked awkward to me.
So we'll see..... it all depends on how much I want function over form, or vice versa, once I get everything all together and some pics taken. Maybe I'll even do the dreaded "opinion thread" and ask people to trash my scoot!
