Buddy has a set on his Street Bob here, he pulled the baffles and they are crazy loud...sound great. I don't know about the loss of power with 2 into 1 vs 2 into 2. I didn't notice a difference when pulled the stock pipes off my SB and put the 2 into 2 short shots on. Also didn't notice a difference when I pulled the stock air cleaner and put on the heavy breather. Maybe it's noticeable at the drag strip or with folks that have more experience than me..?

I think a good 2-1 system with equal headers is supposed to give the edge over a 2-2 system but most are so damn fugly 
Taking the baffles out as I understand will lose you some power,a certain amount of back pressure is required..

you wont feel the loss of power.. Get what you feel is nice and what you like.. if you've come from the sport bike crowd, like i did, these slow harleys will NEVER do ANYTHING for you.
i bought the big radius for my '10 wide glide and i like how they sound and look.
