Sundowner like the others. I love it, Lady loves it and I have had positive comments from other chapter members when they have followed me on rides, say it looks real comfortable.
Hey OldandSlow...is that a pony keg on the back of your bike?
Kind of looks like it, doesn't it? Nah, it's a "Biker's Friend". Really roomy. Doesn't look all that great, however. I've since moved it to the luggage rack.

I think it looks better on the passenger seat. But I'df get a quick release pillion and luggage rack so it looks like I'm going somewhere all the time.
Back to the question...
I've got the stock '98 seat on mine and the wife likes it but complains the pillion pad is too close. I'll have to agree with her after sitting on it, but I like her chest in my back all the time instead of only when I downshift.
I just put the HD Touring seat part #51472-06
which is 12" passenger, 15" rider on my 07 Wideglide. My wife thinks it is soooo much more comfortable. The Sundowner part #51540-06
is 12" passenger, 16 " rider. I chose the Touring Seat because the 1 " seemds to make a difference on the Wide Glide. I will post a picture this afternoon.
Check out the seats made by C&C in SoCal. I ordered mine in leather, custom stiched, custom shaped and it was delivered to my door in less than 9 days. Great guys to deal with. I will post pictures soon. You can find them here: http://www.ccseats.com/Default.htm
thanks for everybody posting pictures !! man that helps a bunch. I have a 98 so the tour version is out for me I guess. Choices look like the deep bucket sundowner (which looks to me almost just like the tour) or H.D. pillow tour (which looks way too thick) or mustang vintage . I think I have ruled out the corbin and am leaning heavy on the sundowner deep bucket.
My first seat was the mustang 12" solo, I loved it. My mistake was to let my wife pick out her seat. Well needless to say she wants the widest seat and backrest she can get 13" I believe. after I put it on it made my seat look too small so I had to get the solo 16" to look right. She loves it and the only way she will give it up is divorce. I went with the 2 piece seat so I can take hers off when she isn't riding which is about 75% of the time, a mans gotta reserve a little macho ya know? By the way I like the wide solo too but I think it is a little wide for the lean mean look. compromise, is the key here. As far as comfort goes we do 300 to 400 mile rides every weekend and monkey butt is not a problem. My advise if it's the look your after.... DO NOT let the wife pick out her seat!
I have a Sundowner for when my daughter wants to ride with me on my WG , it hangs over a few inches on either side and IMHO is FUGLY, but it keeps her happy on all day rides and that is worth it.
