Default Bolt Torque

2009 FXD...anyone know the torque for the two bolts holding the front brake assembly to the fork? Installing a military base sticker plate. Thanks.

I think it's the same spec as a German Virgin, GUDENTIGHT. Somebody with a manual should chime in here shortly. But I would just use the old elbow torque wrench.

28-38 ft lbs. Install the bottom bolt first.

the torque values for the front caliper lower and upper mounting bolts on my 2003 FXD are 28-38 ft-lbs (38.5-51.5 Nm). Not sure if it's the same for your bike.

Beware: these bolts are 12pt/10mm head! Check out my database (link in signature) for more metric sizes info....

Thanks, can't imagine it being much different for a 2009.
