I've tried a lot of stuff but nothing has beat turtle wax chrome polish/cleaner, been using it since 1998. Love the stuff. Removes rust and shines chrome like a mirror. A bottle is five bucks and lasts all year.

I have had good luck with aluminum foil and water. Softer than steel, won't scratch the chrome.

I wash my bike weekly, use windex for cleaning chrome, you can't make chome shinier, can you? Sometimes I spray pig spit on chrome for extra protection. Just keep them clean, you don't need anything special for cleaning.

Rubbing alcohol and a cotton cloth work just fine on chrome pipes.

I just used Windex this past weekend, and the chrome came to an amazing, streak free shine! I looked it up, and it is perfectly safe to use on chrome and really took the spots, gunk, bugs and left it a brilliant, new gleam.
If you can't tell, I was very happy with the results.

Not sure if you can tell in this pic, but you should have seen it before.

No it works great! But Copper wool is a much better idea as copper is softer than chrome so it wont scratch. Great for removing boot marks!

That being said I use Never Dull
