Been pondering raking out my FB and even posted about it a while back, so today I made the call to hawg halters for some new +3 degree trees. Will be here on Friday and installed by Saturday afternoon, I cant wait to see how it turns out. The guy at HH said they put a set of 3 degree trees on a FB recently and changed the looks of it and he said it was basically a bone stock bike. I wont be able to sleep until it gets done...LOL... Will definitely be posting some before and after pics...
He said it would ride the exact same, the actual fork tube screws in to the "bottom" of the top tree. He said it would extend my forks about 1.5 inches therefore keeping the trail the same. I dont really understand all of what he said, all I know is he said it would ride the same and look killer and thats what I wanted.

BS Go to my web site, plug in the #'s and do it yourself. You can find the neck rake, and tire diameter #'s on web and measure your forks yourself (31 1/2" - 1 1/2" riders sag) than press go. Do your own research first than buy, not to listen to anyone. All the #'s are there and you can measure the ones you do not have.

I am just going what he said, call it BS if you want I am no expert on the matter. All I know is the kit comes with inserts that screw into the top of tubes and then they screw in to the top triple tree. I have 18 inch wheels with a 130/70 on the front, he did say that a 5 degree rake worked fine on a FB if you would put a 21 inch wheel on the front.
It may be BS, but I doubt it will have a serious adverse affect on the day-to-day riding of the OP .... If he were a competitive rider who pressed his bike to the limits routinely, maybe ....
[Not disputing your assertion at all, Howard ... just pointing out that many riders would not be able to tell a difference ....]
The only thing the 3 degree trees will affect is your turning radius by making it slightly wider. I have 3 degree trees on my Street Bob and it handles just fine at high and low speeds and looks a hell of a lot better than stock.

Let us know how the bike handles at all speeds--and would really like to see some pics. of your bike when all done as I have been interested in maybe doing the same. Thanks
