I think the top mods that are done first are:

exhaust
seat
bars
air intake

Sometimes controversial but...Removal of the reflectors. Addition by subtraction...

I needed to replace the grips and the seat. I really hate the stock grips.

The seat is okay for around town, alone. But other seats are better for that and other purposes.

And if you plan on keeping the bike more than a few years, do a Stage One.

Came home with:

Exhaust, SE Heavy Breather, 103 Big Bore Stage 3 kit, 259 cams.

Next Detachable WS, Detachable Sissy Bar, LEDs turns and brakes, new grips and pegs,

Have fun enjoy.

I've got the locking rigid mount saddlebags, and new grips and pegs. After I put it to bed for the snow, it's going to get a 103 upgrade, V&H, and big breather. If I have enough left over, I'll LED the tail, mirrors, and gas gauge. I'd really like to add that multi-color OEM speed/tach.

Been eyeing a Fat Bob, 103, a long distance seat, luggage rack, sissy bar, 14" slighty smoked Windvest windshield, heated hand grips, Desert Dawgs rain guards, some LED lighting, oil temperature gauge. improved air intake of some sort, a more visible tail light Harley Mo Co derby, and wheel nut covers. Last a retro style tank badge. Very thick Ultra, red spark plug wires.
