Ok, first off, I know I am a total newb. I am trying to figure out if I can put 6" risers on with drag bars. I have searched for days. Lol. Does someone make a riser that fits the top triple tree? Just standard risers will not bolt on, unless I am missing something. I was thinking i have to go with apes instead if I cant figure it out.
Thanks in advance. I have done quite a bit to the bike since I have been reading on the site. Great info!!
I will post pics eventually.
I got the 4 inch risers last year from him. There's a picture on his site with what looks like 6 -8 inch risers, you just have to email him to see what he can do since he makes them himself. But if you want to go with standard risers or T-bars then you need to purchase an aftermarket 49mm triple tree or one from a superglide.
Are you wanting any pullback? If so you can check out the 6 inch risers from HD, I swapped out my Lowrider risers while on R&R and didn't have to do any adjustments on any thing.
I had the same problem with my 08 as well.....Poor design by the moco, integrated risers....What the hell were they thinking? I was going to replace the top tripple tree with an aftermarket Superglide tree....You can pick them up for $100 to $150....There are other options as well as stated earlier in the post, but changing the top tree to me was the only way to go. I think it looks much cleaner that way....
OK, I did see te 4"ers I guess. Sorry, but in my defense, I was drinking heavily!!
I actually looked at that site twice. Blkdimon, I dont think I want any pull back. I was thinking straight risers and broom stick. I am so torn on Apes or Drags! It is killing me. Drags I could use my stock cables, apes I couldn't. Hell, I dont know.
