I don't like the Buckhorn bars on my bike. I would like some honest suggestions. What kind of bars do you all like best & what do you think would look best on by 94 FXDWG.
Who cares what they look like? Unless you're just bar hopping go for comfort. After 300 miles you'll care more about comfort than looks.

I agree with that. I tried to best duplicate my off-road races bike ergos to get some handling and arm/wrist comfort, the buckhorns were ergonomic nightmares. My best fit was 4.5" risers (1.5" pullback) and 27" drag bars with 3.5" pullback. I could finesse my bike over curbs and around tight U-turns like it was 200 pounds lighter.
The too long control cables from that combination had me go with 8" risers with pullback and 30.5" drags (would have also been an excellent width with the 4.5" risers) with about 6" of pullback.
Now my cables and wires fit like stock, the riding position is comfy, but the handling is a bit inferior to the lower risers.
T-bars are the cleanest way to go, but I needed to experiment to see what rise, width and pullback best worked for me and wanted to be able to rotate the bars to get the right angle on them. I knew, from my dirt bikes, that a little bar rotation can make a difference between forearm pump or wrist fatique and that ideal fit.
