I was asking about the rimsize not the tire size. Anyone know if my stock mag is the right size for a 200 tire? And what all do I need to fit it? I've already got the 180 setup on the bike now but running the 160 tire that came on the bike. Its brand new.

'07 Street Bob with widened struts and '09 RK fender. 6in Fat Boy wheel with 200 Dunlop. I have been told (by someone who should know) that a Metzler 200 doesn't bell as much as the Dunlop.
The reality of installing a 200 on a 5.5 rim vs a 180 is all you are doing is ruining the profile of the tire by using a 200 on a 5.5 rim. You need a 6inch rim for the tire to PROPERLY fit. Will it fit yes, should you do it NO. Installing too wide of a tire on a given rim size can make a bike feel like it falls into a corner rather than having a nice and smooth lean into the corner.

I think your stock rim is 4.5 so 180 is as wide as you can go on that rim. I ended up running wires inside strut cover and doing away with bracket inside fender and using a captive nut and flush mount bolts.

Chill dude.... 200mm on a 5.5" is fine, handles smooth, bead fits on the rim correctly, looks fantastic (avon does anyway), done 8000km's and no probs.
Parts eeter where did you get your data from? Can you provide a link? I would like to see where it states that putting a 200mm metzler on a 5.5" rim only ruins the profile and is not a PROPER fit for the tire?
I run a 200 on a 5.5" rim and do a TON of slow speed maneuvering where my pegs are scraping as well as at-speed leans without any difference in how it "drops" into the corners.
