Default Paint the Tins

Want to paint the tins on my 2010 Wide Glide this winter a solid color, maybe denim orange. How much should this cost? I'm sure once I start looking around I'll get prices all over the map...

Check out www.attitudecustompainting.com. Great folks to deal with. Prices are very reasonable. I just saw they are running a deal for solids and two-tones right now. You will not find a better quality job for the money. Several guys on this site have worked with them and they will all tell you the same. Search through the jobs on his site. Pick one out and get a quote from them. Depending on his workload, they may be a little negotiable if you are reasonable with your offer. Good Luck.

I would think you could get those painted for $400-700 depending on the shop. Look for someone who knows how to paint flat and satin finishes if you're looking for a denim. Some think painting flats is easy but if you want it to look good you need a very clean enviroment and someone experienced in spraying them.

If all your doing is painting the tins a solid denim color, there should be no reason it should cost more than $150 to $200 per part (average) for all 3 pieces. I mean, thats the pinnacle of simplicity for a painter or body shop.

Thanks for the responses guys! Joe, now I ask this question, what is the difference in powdercoating vs. painting? Do you believe it is a better option than paint?

i do powder for a living so of course i think it is better, it is much tuffer, can create the same finishes (excluding airbrush and crazy layering of color) but for a solid or 2 tone, hell ya i would coat it over paint
