Default Progressive 440s

I put some Progressive 440 shocks on my wideglide because the stock shocks were bottoming out all the time, Well it doesn't bottom out anymore But It feels like im riding my hardtail's I used to ride in my younger day's and it is on the light setting. I guess this is proof that ya just can't make anybody happy.

Adjust your suspension sag but increasing your preload. Mine got adjusted to the 4th setting on the 440's. It does ride firm but there is no bottoming out and definitely more control
over irregularities during turns. Good luck.

Adjust your sag and preload...mine road hard until it did both. Now it rides kind of stiff but never bottoms out. Not sure my settings, but i did have to mess with them a few times before I got it right. now I love them

I run my 440's at the softest setting (almost completely unscrewed) and have no issues with bottoming or performance with my 220 lb butt in the saddle.

If you put lowered shocks on, then youre stuck with a harsh ride, no matter what you do.

By "unscrewed" do you mean most of the rings are showing or not showing? I thought the more the showed the stiffer the ride?!?!?!

They are completely unscrewed & with my 6'1" 230 lb butt it is a rough ride, I bought these used but were like new, I am starting to think they are the HD's & not standard. I'm not complaining they only cost me $152.00.

Unscrewed. All the way no threads showing. Thats the softest. I run 2 turns. At least on my 440's theres a total of 10 turns. Any more than two and its rough riding. Only two up and fully loaded do I need more than two turns.

Thanks, I thought that little or no thread's showing was the softest settings. I ride with 2 ring's or threads showing on my 440's on my WG. Also I have the Ricor units in the front, them seem to math the 440's pretty well. The 440's were very stiff when I got them but they are better now.
