I am new here, as i owned 3 sportsters, and now a happy owner of a 2002 Dyna superglide.and not looking back, I am from Ottawa Canada Eh! . Anyhow my question is this, i can get a 1994 FXDWG tank for cheap , will this tank fit my 2002 Dyna, they look very similar.
Are the 2000 - 2003 wideglide have a different frame than the FXD, the FXDWG rake seems bigger or is it the triple clamps giving the illusion.
If you can get it cheap, go for it, if it doesn't work, you can always sell it. I have found that most will interchange pretty easy. Sometimes all you need is a tank lift kit which gives you a little more play in the mount.
I'm pretty sure that it's the 3 degrees of rake in the trees that make it look like that. Makes a whole lot more sense than a custom frame for one model.
THx for the replies, I went to the stealer, and the part number is the same except for the last 2 digits, Would it make sense that they would be the same I know sporties very well, and am just learning more about my bike. Can't wait to start modding my bike.
The last 2 numbers after the dash are the first year that part was introduced, if it has an A or B or etc after the 2 numbers, then it is an update to the part.
