Hi all,
Thanks for posting bobber rider, I will try as waterman suggests to post more pics at differnt angles
Heres the scoop.....

Had an indy shop lace up a 16 rim to my existing hub. This is a the same hub off another 06 bob . This way i didnt destroy my old set up so i can easily switch back if i want to. I also had no down time during the re-lace job wich was very nice becuase of how long it took to do. Stock 16" spokes were ordered but they wouldnt work to my hub so the tech had to order custom lenth spokes; 3 weeks in all. I supplied the OEM stock hd 16" tire and was charged $200 for the rest (labor& parts) He kept the old rim.

The ride:
Alot different mostly for the better.
-Easier turn in and cornering
-smoother overall ride
- slight,slight high speed wobble.

Indy will check balance and truing at 500 miles he said.
The wobble is probably from lowering the front (.5" to be exact.)
I will cure that soon with black 11.5" progressive 412's This will drop the rear same as the front drop which should even things out to where it will be perfect. Clearence wise it misses the forks on each side by a good .5"

I dont think it possible to use stock HD 16" rims because the hubs off set regarding the brake rotor, i could be wrong. I know the new 1" bearings can be pressed into an older rim/hub but it's all for nothing if you cant fit the break caliper to the rotor.

This was almost a deal breaker for me too....
I really struggled to slip the caliper back over tke rotor because that fat tire was in the way now. Luckily i was able to spread the break pads out enough with a big flat tip screwdriver which gave me nough room to wiggle them on, other wise i was getting ready to break loose the break line...That would have sucked

I like it allot, If it were mine I would either loose the apes or the windshield to give it more of a "bobber" look, but that's just me.I'll bet my black flanders bars would look awesome on it.By the way thanks for finally getting some pics up to inspire the rest of us going for that old school fat tire bobber look.
