Default quick detach rattiling

My sissy bar is rattiling and its driving me crazy. All the bolts are tight but it just seems loose, anyone else have this problem.

I have the same problem. After spending over $550 on the detachable sissy bar and rack set, it is annoying and embarassing to say the least. It appears to be coming from the right side latch on mine. I tried running a piece of electrical tape around the mounting post but the tolerence is so close that the latch woud not latch. So the rattle must be side to side instead of up and down. I going to try a piece of rawhide or waxed shoelace between the latch and the side of the mount. Another person on the forum said something about using an O ring or rubber washer. I am keeping track of the responses you get as this is a real headache. It seems to be a common problem.

take a piece of shring wrap, slide it over the peg, heat it up, then cut away the excess that will stop it... some guys use electrical tape on the doc points, but i think the wrap worked great in IMO was cleaner

Great idea Joe, never thought of trying that. Does it last very long?

Maybe I'll try this on my easy brackets.

Shoot....... I wish I had your problem. Mine QR is so tight, I can't move the latches on either side to get the thing off without a set of pliers, and after I do get it off, I have to bang the latches with a hammer to get them to close and the pin to drop to lock it into place. It's a real PIA.

Yeah mine does that too. I just tell my wife to get on the back and ride with me to quiet things down back there. The shrink wrap is a great idea btw...

My EZ Brackets rattled at first, then I just put my stuff in them. A little weight in the bags quiets them right down.

I was considering adding an "O" ring, but they were tight as they were and difficult to remove.
