Was thinking of changing out my stock bars for maybe some mini apes this winter. Just wondering if I can save my cables, brake line and wiring with say a 12" mini ape bar.
No........... Not worth the drama; you would have issues with not enough slack…. Plus it would look @?#%! Lets just say you would not like it.
1. Ask you dealer tech what size over your going to need for brake line and clutch cable. Get some cool looking braided ones!! (he’ll probably say 6-8 inch over stock) 2. You could save a bit if you get correct size wires at radio shack or hardware store. Or you can have dealer order extension kit (would make it way easy cuz they are normally with color coded.)
