Default Noise

I know this is going to be a near impossible request, but I started to notice a noise from my bike. I am not really sure where it originates but I think it is either the engine or primary. It sounds like bb's spinning the bottom of a coke can when I pull in the clutch, between gears. I have brought it in to the dealership and they have said they don't hear anything and that the bike sounds and feels fine. It happened again to me yesterday at the end of a 200 mile ride. I rode 100 miles took a 3 hour break and then headed back and at the end when I pulled in the clutch to shift is when I heard it. I am not sure if it increased in intensity when I give it a bit more throttle with the clutch engaged. But it seems to only happen when the bike is hot or first thing in the morning when it is cold. When it happens in the morning (hasn't happened in a while) it goes away after riding about a mile (bike warmed up) and then it comes back when the bike is good and hot and has been ridden all day.

Any ideas where I should start looking?
Thanks

It definitely is coming from the primary side of the bike and it is intensified if I give it more throttle with the clutch engaged.

I did it, I changed it 7K ago. Used Royal Purple... Was thinking of changing it again just to see if it makes a difference. Last change there was no metal on the plug magnet. What are you thinking? Are you thinking a chain issue?

Default Clutch

Since you say it does this with clutch in and I assume you mean setting still, get someone to set on it holding clutch in and put a stethoscope on it. Be sure to check the right side of the transmission door. There is a thrust bearing here for the pushrod of the clutch. The other bearing for the clutch hub is on the derby cover side and spins with the clutch pulled in.

I have determined that the noise is coming from the primary. I haven't removed the primary cover, but did do an oil change and the noise is still there. I only hear it prior to the bike warming up and it is more pronounced when I am in neutral or when I am between gears with the clutch engaged. The speed of the noise does increase with increased throttle. Any ideas on what might be causing the noise? What I should check when I pull the cover? The noise it kind of a high speed tapping noise. And as soon as the bike warms up the noise goes away.
