Default Detachable Sissy Bar Fabrication Question

Got a 09 Street Bob and I am fabricating my own detachable sissy bar, but the bike is currently in the shop getting some other work done to it. Can anyone post the measurements of the width that their detachable plates are mounted to a street bob? (Width where they attach to the bike and the width at the top of the brackets)

It's been pretty easy so far, but I guess thats cause i'm on attempt number three. HAHA! It will resemble the attitude stick, with an added bit of tude! Used 1/2" round bar from lowes.(plates are for 5/8" i think, but i went with 1/2") total length of round bar is 4'.
Made my center mark then heated the bar to red hot and used a lag bolt in my table top to bend the bar at center. Then used a table vice and heated the top section of the bar to red hot and gave it the top angle (like the attitude stick). straightened out the bottom ends so they would slide into the detachable plates.
Now for the hard stuff: Made the marks for the mounting bolts. Drilled and tapped for the 1/4"-20 mounting bolts. Had a buddy of mine machine two brass cross bars that are 1/2" round to fit inside the A-frame shape to increase rigidness. Thats why I need the width measurement. The width of the sissy bar determines where on the bar they will be placed. Once those are mounted, the sissy bar will be powdercoated matte black. Then....
I'll post some pics of the current progress tomorrow. Forgot the camera at work.
