Been going down there the last couple of summers in mid August. The first year we drove down during hurricane Bill. 12 hours from long Island, poured the whole way down. I was debating getting a trailer and bringing the bike, glad I didn't. The weather cleared the next day and it was beautiful the rest of the week. We stayed in a town called Rodanthe in a house on the water. What a great time we had and it looked like a lot of fun to ride. Wished I had my bike then. Went down again this past summer in August and I did not take the bike as money was tight and I could not afford a trailer. Weather was a little cooler but we managed to make the best of it....lol One of these days I will definitely take the bike down and spend some time riding the OBX....
Thanks for the props and glad to see so many of you guys have hit the OBX. It is a worthwhile trip for sure.

Sheeeeet, just PM me your address and I'll send it to yah. No charge. I'm never gonna use it now that I got the new one and I would rather give it to some one who wants to get some use out of it, than to let it collect dust in the basement.
Thanks for the OBX pics. I live nearby in Chesapeake, VA and own property in Avon. I've never ridden my bike farther than the Outer Banks H-D dealership (just north of the bridge). Now, I'm inspired to cruise on down when it warms up again.
