Default Cheapest/easiest Tuning

Looking for the cheapest , easiest way to tune my wife's '07 SB. It's got V&H short shots and Ness big sucker 2 and that's as far and the engine mods will ever go, I just want it to run and cool right. I have a PCV on my '08 road king that I enjoy tuning to perfection but I don't need to/want to fiddle with her's.

If the PCV is what you know, that might be your best bet.

Key features are: inexpensive and simple. I'm very busy and capable of tuning properly, I don't have time nor the desire.

I agree. If you know PCV then get one. If you don't want to fiddle with it get one from FuelMoto since they send them preloaded with a map based on what you tell them you have.

Cheapest/easiest often translates to lowest quality.

PC III USB would probably be a good choice. As stated, get it preloaded from Fuelmoto and just install it.

PC-V as you know works great, a less expensive alternative would be our Fuel Moto EFI Tuner by Dynojet which is a PC III with our label and they run $239.00. We have a great map for the V&H Shortshots and Air cleaner and can load the map no problem.

Whatever you buy is going to require some effort on your part. Best to go with what you know. I thought with the PCV that you go to the web site put in what you have and download a map.

You said "capable". Do you have a dyno? Pretty much need one unless you have one of the auto tune gadgets,.... and they don't fit your "inexpensive" requirement.

If you want cheap, you will sacrifice some quality.
If you want easy, you will sacrifice some cash (and still not achieve perfection).
If "perfection" is not a requirement, then why even bother?

You need a custom dyno tune by a reputable tuner, to achieve perfection.
If you are okay with mediocre, you can get by fairly cheap with a PCIII and a canned map.
Jaimy gets them fairly close with the downloadable maps,...... but not like what can be done "live" on a dyno with a talented tuner. There is no replacement for that.

You get what you pay for, as in every other part of life.

Why do you think you need a tuner, she doesn't like how the bike rides? Cheap an quick doesn't equate to running right.... unless you are just talking about WOT power... but you can try a XiED to cool the bike. They work well for that

If you wanted cheap and simple, why did you even bother with air filter? With just the pipes, there is no need for a tune... sounds inconsistent to me. Now that you've gone there, just cover a bit of the air filter and enjoy the ride... pretty simple, real cheap and a lot less effort than installing a PC on a dyna... just saying..
