I like it ... but you do know you are insane .... right...
Muuwwaaaaaahhhhhhaaaaahhhaaaaaaaa!!!!
But you like it!!! That, my friend is why I do what I do!
Not necesarily for the other people, but I guess I like the attention.
Of course, when you almost crash, you get a lot of attention also. hahaha.
i personally like to ride jockey... perfer foot clutch but will do lever action on my littel bar hopper bobber... did not do it on my st bob cause i have way too much power into my motor to control it wiht the apes and a jockey shift... give it 2 weeks and you will be glass smooth bud! making it a foot clutch is not all that hard man... you can use your stock cable and make a bracket that will work to adapt your old shifter lever to work as a foot clutch... i promise you will like it 100% more!

Thanks brother. I am definitely going to a foot clutch, hopefully this winter. Probably do forward controls and modify the new shift lever from there. Destroyed my origional lever in the "first edition" of the lever. hahaha. Didn't work out.
Excited to work on it!!!

Just wondering about the clutch engagement switch sensor (or whatever its called) on the switch housing. Does that have to be relocated with a foot clutch?
if you split your clutch cable at the adjuster , it leaves a perfect way to mount the cable to a plate
Does this include the need to cut the cable, I have never tried to pull a clutch cable apart, I would imaging that it is a one piece cable.
Joe, that is a lot of cable to twist, bend and reconfigure if you use the stock cable for the foot clutch, isn't it? Would this just be a temp thing to see how someone would like the set up prior to installing a shorter cable?
Finally, got the suicide shift made up and on the bike. I tried it one way and didn't like it, and had the bike apart in my brothers garage for two weeks!! Did it the right way (i think), and it is much better. Taking off and making a turn, HOLY CRAP!!! Almost dumped it once. But I freaking love it. Got used to it in about 10 minutes.
The one pic is the old way I had the suicide. Didn't like it!
Too bulky and too long of a handle.
So, basically, put on some 18" apes, internally wired, and got the suicide on. Those are the latest mods. Going to take some pics tomorrow in the daytime too hopefully.
What y'all think??
Peace
I think all you need now is to figure out how to mount a mower deck under it, It would tie in the look, It might also help keep you from dumping it.
i would personally go with either a shorter cable or cut and silver solder a new ball on the end of the cable, after i shortened it, you are right on that... but the stock wourl work just fine if it was re routed around... as stated above the stock adjuster can be used on a plate then you just need to hook the cable up to a lever welded on the strock shifter arm... works great and is not such a nightmare in traffic
