Has nothing to do with being cool or uncool. These are appendages added to motorcycles are for form and function. Either it be for the riders/passengers comfort/safety, or it be, to strap yer stuff too. Everyone has their-own needs and wants when they ride.

So Why ask Why? Huh!

I would never let my daughter or girlfriend ride without it...a simple, quick maneuver to avoid an accident could end up pretty bad for them.

My daughter was only 9 when she started riding with me so it was a necessity.

And if you're "lucky", you could find the right woman that can be her own suction cup on a bare fender and dispose of the bolt-on hardware...

Yeah, why ask why anyway? As a Dyna owner the only thing I have to add is... SUCK IT!!

I've been thinking of getting a sissy bar just so I can strap my tool bag to it and small luggage. At the same time, I want my bike to remain cool. Personally I dont the big profile chrome jobs. surely someone makes a small profile wrought-iron looking deal? Ive seen them on custom bikes (similar to the Wide Glide grab bar) but havent come across them on Harleys.

Mine works great for keeping passengers on the seat when I take off and it's a great accessory for strapping my bag to when I travel or head to the store for milk.

Not when the wife and kids are concerned. Their safety is my top priority, over looks any day.

I really the look (and function) of the Wide Glide sissy bar. I put this one on my '08 Bob.

The only real downside is that it doesn't hold luggage.

That's a nice look HD SB. I didnt realize it would fit a SB. Did you need to modifiy it to fit? That'll be perfect to hook up a toolbag too.

Agree - my daughter, wife, or other family member wouldn't ride my scoot w/o it. Get the quick detach HW if you don't like the looks w/o passengers aboard.

Thanks.

No modifications needed. The Wide Glide and SB are the same frame.

The sales guy at my local dealer told me that it would fit. The sissy bar is not available in the Harley catalogs, but rather as in the original parts catalog.
