That 02 low rider I just bought has a set of guages that are really hard to see in daylight-they are small and far away from the rider's eyes, and it almost impossible to see if you are in Neutral, or not-my wife has an 06 Sportster Low, and the guages are really easy to see-Is there a different set of guages that will fit on the Low Rider that I can replace the stock ones with?
Bill
Hey-we all have to be beginners some time. Do you have suggestions for feeling the shift into N, other than letting up on the clutch to see if it rolls? And, that doesn't answer the question, which was about possibilities for other guage setups. Possible, or not?
siramazing,
Did not want to sound like a smart *** and was not intended in that context, yes time as with anything you will not even think twice as to find neutral. As for the instrumentation I can't help out there.
At the dealer today, and I asked him about the guages-can be done, he said with a kit to attach a new set of guages on the handlebar, instead of the light. Complicated though, and leaves wires hanging-he also suggested a visor of some kind over where they are now.
As far as feeling Neutral, he suggested revving the rpm's a bit, and then feeling for it-you know what? Really works!! I was able to feel the shift into N, no problem.
