I've got Samsons. They sound great, no tuning problems, quality seems to be good so far. The only issue I have is that at the ends where they were 45'd, they're off just a little bit, probably 1/2" or so. Most people don't even notice it, but it's one of those things when you're the owner- once you see it, you see it every time you look at the bike.

You'll enjoy the bassanis mate. I've got bassani firesweeps on my street bob. Very happy with them

I like the Samsons as well. Have the Samson Legends on my bike. Don't see any quality problems. Love the sound.

someone recommended wrapping them since they don't have a heat shield? does it help that much and doesn't it defeat the purpose of chrome?

The Street bob it's self defeats the purpose of chrome .....Hence the term "dark Customs" .

i am thinking about the firesweeps because of the heatshield...anyone else besides stbobau have them? can't find much on them, according to bassani they are similar to the pro streets but only two years old and the pipes are stacked instead of side by side.

Stay away from Samson. Had each pipe replaced under warranty (one within 800 miles). Had to weld up holes burned through the headers 3 times, and one crack.
