Has anyone out there installed a smoke laydown tail light lens on a Street Bob. If so would you mind posting where you bought it from? I want something that i can install on my Street Bob without any cutting or modification. I'd prefer just the lens. I'm not really interested in LED's either.
Problem I have had with the lay down lenses.... on short run around type rides they are fine, but extended rides, because the lense is too close to the bulb, the heat from the bulb ends up cracking the lense.

And most likely was with a stock bulb, I can imagine using a halogen bulb ! looks like a job for LEDâs
Is it me, or does anyone else notice a cut in brightness using smoked lens ? anyone tried black lens ?
I searched for the same thing for some time, but couldn't find just the lens. I ended up going with the LED smoked taillight off of EBAY for about $60. It worked out well, I'm really happy with the LEDs.
I have one I bought from a place called walters workshop. deceided not to use it, if you want it pm me could send you pics on/off the bike! walters workshop I think is the website also, and like it was said before you need a red bulb.
I bought the Smoked LED ultra thin kuryakyn tailight from J&P for like $80. It's really cool, and it comes with a pig tail both tail light wiring set up, the new style and the older style that had the 1157 bulb.
