Default 56267-09 Pullback Riser Problems

I received and installed the risers today. The stock Fat Bob bars do not seat into the riser well at all. There is a huge gap between the riser and bar. The caps fit fit and there is a small gap at the back of the cap like the instructions say there should be.

If I stand to one side of the bike and look along the length of the bar I can see a gap all the way through both risers.

The dealership is ordering another set to see what they look like.

Heres a pic, I had to use some towls to cut the glare down, but this is a single strip of paper that runs through both risers.

Opinions? Are these bad risers or is this how HD makes them?

BTW: The caps are installed correctly and I even took everything back apart and swapped the caps side to side to make sure that one way didnt fit better than the other.

Can't tell much from the picture. How wide are the gaps on both sides? Should be a slight gap on front and back.

What diameter are the risers cut for?

If they are 1"rs then there will be a fitment problem. The Fat Bob bars are 1 1/4" diameter

The part number he gave is for 1.25" bars.

I can't tell squat from the pic, so not sure what the issue is in reality.
Do the clamps hold the bars tight?

I am perplexed, as I see no part number in the OP's post.

Ok, I reread the destructions.

On the back page it indicates that there should be a gap at the rear of the riser caps - and there is one.

It also states and has a picture for those of us who are visual, that there should be a gap between the top of the riser and the bottom of the bars - and there is one.

BS I say, so I went back into the dealership and looked at a bike on the floor that has similar risers. (Similar, but not exactly the same) Same gap as mine. So I guess its the way the MOCO designed them.

The dealership offered to order another set for me but I told them not to bother. I used a buttload of red locktite (To much I bet) and cranked them down alot tighter than the 15ft lbs they said to. They dont move.

I dont understand why the risers are designed like this. Mositure will sit between the risers and bars. The oem risers I removed were not designed like this.

Its got to be the "Chewbaca Defense".

Thanks for the post OP. I was just looking at these and considering them for mine - might have to consider throwing in an extra hundred bucks and going with the street slammers.
