Default A Darkside Question

My 07 Streetbob has a stock 4.5 rim , and takes a 160/70/17. The biggest i can put on this rim is the harley Screaming Eagle 180/6-/17. The only car tire that comes close is the Yokohama 195/45/17 . Im wondering if anyone has tried this tire on there stock Dyna. The tire is $94 at Discount Tire. I looked at the size differences on both tires and believe it should fit. There is minor differences but i dont think they are major enough to cause problems.
I used to run a car tire on another bike i had and never had any problems with it in regards to handling. It sure lasted long to...

All the guys I have seen who run car tires do so on the big cruisers. I have never seen one on a Dyna. I guess theres no reason you couldn't if you think it will fit, but a flat bottomed tire is one thing on a giant Wing or VTX, but a Dyna.... Its up to you.

My sentiments exactly if you can afford a $95 experiment I say go for it.It might look cool you could say you were the first to try it.

That would be great if it does work because you could probably get 30,000 miles or more out of your tire. However, I would be concerned about leaning the bike. Car tires are not designed to be driven on the sidewalls.
