17" Front Wheel - Street Bob
Getting ready to start the winter project. Im trying to get the plan together before I start ordering parts.
Im going to order the parts for a new spoked wheel for the front of my 09 Bob.
Here is the beginning:
17x3.5 inch front wheel with a 140/75-17 front tire
FatBob black wide glide trees
1 to 1.5 inch progressive lowering kit - forks
FatBob front fender
Now on to the questions.......
Is the stock 09 St Bob wheel steel? I know the hub is aluminum, but not sure about the wheel.
Im going to have the new wheel laced to the stock mid glide hub.....would I be able to use stock rear spokes to lace the front wheel? Or am I just better off ordering the stainless steel ones from hdwheels, which is where Im ordering the rim from....
Would I be better off using a front hub from the new Wide Glide so I can use the stock spacers(fort the Wide Glide)?

Yes the stock wheel is steel.
Even if you use a wide glide hub I don't think you would be able to use the stock wide glide spacers without changing to wide glide lowers. I don't remember what but something is different about the lowers. As for the spokes, I have no idea.
